Who doesn’t Love Chocolate?

Celebrated and enjoyed since the time of the Mayans in Central America chocolate is used in rituals, celebrations, treats, foods, and drinks and even our skin.

We love it even more for its flavanols, prized for many years for their health benefits. The evidence for cocoa flavanols is so solid that the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) have granted it a health claim “Cocoa flavanols help maintain the elasticity of blood vessels, which contributes to normal blood flow”. Not many health foods and nutrients can achieve that!

purified-chocolate-cardio Clever cardiologists at the University of Latvia in Riga realised that combining chocolate with vitamins, minerals and other key nutrients beneficial for heart function and health was a perfect match.

Most food supplements contain fillers such as caking or binding agents in order to make a capsule or tablet. Purifed doesn’t need any of these, we simply put the food supplements inside the chocolate!

And so Cardio Chocolate was born, shortly followed by Beauty and Neuro Chocolate.
